Conflicts of interest: general principles

In a few words

Explore the different dimensions of the concept of conflict of interest and develop the right reflexes to prevent them effectively.

The training course begins with a clear explanation of what a conflict of interest entails and a presentation of the various forms it can take within banking and financial institutions. It also highlights the risks of sanctions in the event of a proven conflict of interest, particularly from FINMA, and emphasises the importance for institutions to protect themselves against such conflicts.

The rest of the training course is devoted to studying the fundamental principles – such as transparency, independence and non-competition – that financial institutions must rigorously apply to prevent conflicts of interest.

Using concrete examples, this training aims to enable you to identify conflicts of interest as soon as they arise and to adopt the appropriate conduct, whether towards the client or the institution.
